My wife and I love this little hidden gem in Laurel. We get take out, and it’s so delicious every single time. The woman who takes our order, who I assume is the owner, is sweet and patient, always!

A coupon brought us to try Mabel's for the first time. The food was good but we were shocked when the owner refused to honor the printed coupon. She explained that while she had issued it in years past, she didn't intend to this year. As understandable as her miscommunication with the coupon printer may be, flat refusing to honor it at all, especially after we ordered the required sodas we didn't really want in order to fulfill the coupon requirements, rubbed us the wrong way. Not even a comp of a single soda or even an apology. It wasn't the small amount of the money but rather, the non-negotiable poor customer service.
